Located in the heart of the Landes in the Aquitaine region of South West France - 10 minutes Mont de Marsan, 45 minutes Biarritz, 1 hour Spain, 1 hour 15 minutes ski resorts - this beautiful Maison Bourgeoise is set in two and a half acres of parkland with swimming pool, ten acres of forest for you to explore and a small fishing pond. Open all year. Pets welcome. English owned. Wheelchair friendly. Pick-up from airport available. A large swimming pool and spa/hot tub are situated in the grounds, with ample poolside furniture. Seating is provided around the parkland for those who wish for solitude. Satellite TV, DVD and Video players (and films), board and card games. The park and forest are ideal for bird watching with an abundance of jays, golden orioles, woodpeckers etc, as well as deer and red squirrel. Cycles are available for those who feel energetic! With over 10,000 km of cycle ways in the Landes, there is plenty to explore. If you are interested in fishing, there is a small fishing lake containing carp, tench, rudd etc for guest use. Fishing tackle is available for hire for a small daily fee.

Maison Moikeenah

Maison Moikeenah is located in Southwest France, department 64 Pyrenees Atlantiques. Situated in the Bearn region in the Aspe valley. This Bearnaise house is in a small village on the Chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostelle, surrounded by scenic mountains. Maison Moikeenah is a traditional Bearnaise house with three floors. The top floor is the guest accommodation which comprises 2 bedrooms and one shower room and toilet. There are large gardens with a small summer pool (piscinette) which guests are welcome to share with our family. There is ample parking and outdoor eating spaces. Please respect the non-smoking policy. Guests also have use of the ground floor lounge/dining room, either to read tourist literature and maps etc or to listen to CDs, read from our bookcase, play board games or to just relax with a coffee after breakfast or a glass of wine after dinner. Breakfast is served each morning in the lounge/dining room. This is a typical French breakfast with coffee or a variety of teas and infusions, served with cereal, juice, croissants, pain au chocolat, breads and jams. Your hosts offer a table d'hôtes service where guests can choose to take dinner with them by arrangement on Sundays to Thursdays. Your hosts offer a tasty variety of 3 course meals and vegetarians are catered for. Vegetarian meals are often difficult to find in French restaurants. Dinner includes coffee and a glass of wine. Your hosts are happy to serve dinner on a half size plate for children at half price if required.

A warm welcome awaits you at Maison Lassalle Bed and Breakfast in a fully restored 17th century Landaise style house with a large swimming pool. Maison Lassalle is set in the beautiful countryside of Gascogne south west France. There are many restaurants nearby with a variety of price ranges, a great variety of meals including the local specialty of foie gras and magret de canard from the ducks reared in this region. Good quality restaurants offer "Landaise" specialties which include foies gras, confits, magrets (since the area is well known for breeding ducks), salmis de palombes (pigeons), honey, kiwi-fruit, peaches, apricots, melons, grapes, and nectarines (as allowed by the mild climate).

The Basques are a secretive people that live in a romantic environment... their surroundings consist of powerful landscapes from rocky mountains, rivers and streams to the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. At Jeanette Baita, guests can choose from one of four rooms which all have a shower, double bed, central heating, internal telephone connection, sitting area for at least two people, storage for your clothes and essentials, connection to the in-house network with access to Internet and all rooms are non-smoking and unfortunately pets are not permitted as well, (including our own). In the surroundings of Jeanette Baïta you can be assured of a big variety of sites worth seeing, events, extraordinary villages and museums worth making a special effort for. There's a big selection of cities and villages in the surrounding area with a very significant history. Places like Bayonne but also the culturally rich Pays Basque, San Sebastian, Bilbao, Lourdes, Pau etc.
