When visiting Normandy, there is no better place to visit, explore and stay at than the town of Cahagnes! You will have a wonderful experience and an enjoyable stay. Best of all, Cahagnes is easy to find by simply using the motorway A 84 (l’Autoroute des Estuaires). La Foulerieis belongs to select group of old farmhouses, typical for the area Pré-Bocage. The farmhouse was restored while preserving and respecting the tradition of the house. The house is full of character, charm and history. The house provides lots of space and the rooms are comfortable. In addition to the three rooms, there is also a library, party games, billard français, home cinema and videotheque, an entertainment room, a recreation and a furnished kitchen which allows you the opportunity cook your own diner and/or lunch. The beauty of this part of France is that you don't necessarily need a car to explore this area. You can discover the neighborhood of la Foulerie and Pré-Bocage by walking or you can rent a mountain bike. Regardless of whether you explore on foot, on bike or by car, you will find many places of interest or sightseeing. In fact, Cahagnes is perfect to discover many places, all of which are less than 1 hour away. For example, the beaches of Normandy where the D-Day landings happened are only 30 minutes away.

Facing the Mont-St-Michel, in a garden nestled by the sea that Monet would have liked to paint, this recessed château is sheltered from the wind, on the wooded hillside from which on all sides you will admire the "Marvel of the West"! The chateau enjoys its elevated location above the sea and the village of Saint Jean le Thomas. The exceptional views are magical during the sunset and sunrise as you overlook the bay and Mont Saint Michel. Rebuilt in the 19th century, on the ashes of a medieval castle, the castle bathes in the sun. The interior decorations display medieval art, specially in the style of Violet le Duke. During World War II, General Eisenhower stayed in the village and a bed on the property was given to him. He loved very much this pretty and extensive garden. The scents of the flowers and exotic plants perfume the gardens. Enjoy "Pommeau", the local aperitif, made by hand by your. For breakfast, enjoy a hearty regional breakfasts. You will enjoy 12 kinds of jams and marmalades, fruits from the garden, cheeses and more. By following the gardens you can walk to restaurants in the village. Stroll along the barren cliffs facing the Mont-Saint-Michel. Cross the bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel (7 km), like the pilgrims of long ago, on foot, on horseback or with a guide.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations and requests to transfer dates must be made in writing by email. Cancellations 30 days before the start  dates shall be refunded minus an admin fee which is 5% of the total  price. Cancellations between 29 and 15 days before the start date shall be refunded minus an admin fee of 10% of the total  price. There is no refund for cancellations 2 weeks before the start date. There is no charge for transferring to an alternative  date, provided the request is received 30 or more days before the start date. Where the request to transfer is received less than 30 days before the start date we will charge an admin fee of 5% of the price. There is an admin fee of 5% of the total price for cancellations received 31 days before the start date. If the guest fails to arrive, the full  fees are payable. All guests need to take out their own holiday insurance to cover their personal interests including any transport cancellations.

Domaine de la Tour is a beautiful farmer estate, dating from the 18th century and situated in the south of the Calvados in Normandy. Domaine de la Tour has been restored entirely in the style of former days and is supplied with all modern conveniences. On the seven hectares of our estate you will find tranquillity, nature and space. During a walk on the estate you will enjoy the picturesque surroundings: the view on the castle, dating from the time of Louis XV and the forest and the fields around our domain. Do you want a relaxing week on holiday together, to enjoy a long weekend with friends or a couple of days with the whole family? Then Domaine de la Tour is something for you. There are two magnificent, spacious holiday houses (gîtes) and four bed & breakfast rooms. All are furnished in a personal way. The gîtes are each suited for a maximum of eight people. They have a comfortable living room with television, radio/CD-player and a well equipped kitchen (cooker, coffee machine, water boiler, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and dryer). Every gîte has four bedrooms. All these bedrooms have twin beds and a private bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin. In this way, you are sure of a maximum of personal comfort. Furthermore, each gîte has a big garden, including a terrace, garden furniture and a large barbecue. The gîtes can be rented per week, midweek or for a long weekend. For the necessary shopping you do not have to drive very far. There is a « hypermarché » at close distance, about five minutes drive from Domaine de la Tour where you can get everything. Nice restaurants are also found in the neighbourhood.
