De UitspanningRelax in the midst of nature, space and culture, and enjoy the serenity of the countryside. 'De Uitspanning' offers bed & breakfast accommodation with lunches on request. At Eetcafé de Dam in Nieuwpoort you can have lunch or dinner, in summer on their cosy terrace. There are two spacious guest rooms with a seating area in this monumental home (private entrance). There is a terrace outside that guests may use. Bed linen and towels are provided. Bicycles are available for rent. 'De Uitspanning' is located in the center of Nieuwpoort, the smallest fortified city in Holland, on the river Lek. The river Lek is walking distance from the house and with the aid of a city walk guide you will also come past the lovely town hall, inside of which you will find the local archaeological museum, the city ramparts, past the city moats and past many restored monuments like 'het Arsenaal' (the Arsenal or Armory) and 'de Waag' (the weighing house). There is plenty of history, culture and sights to see in Nieuwpoort. Definitely make this a place to visit when travelling to The Netherlands. |
