MesogheoThe Mesogheo is an old farmhouse which has been renovated with the original plan in mind. On the upper floors you will find the residence of the owners, on the ground floor a welcoming restaurant with small intimate rooms and well stocked library. A few paces away, in an environment designed specifically to guarantee utmost privacy to all guests, the swimming pool and a small building with a few lovely rooms, each one with a fireplace, refrigerator, telephone and (for sudden symptoms of withdrawal) a television. All of this hidden in an olive grove, centuries old at the foot of Camposauro mountain, which with the Taburno, dominates the Volturno valley. The little town is Melizzano, on the eastern border of the province of Benevento. Rome is 1½ hours away and Naples is 40 minutes. Reggia di Caserta is 20 minutes away and all the most famous tourist attraction of the Campania Region - Pompei, Sorrento, Vesuvio, Capri, Positano, Ischia, and Paestum - are easy to get to also. |

Villa Pollio Bed and BreakfastA family operated bed and breakfast located in Meta, close to Sorrento. Sorrento is only a few kilometers away as are many international and cultural tourism sights such as Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Pompeii, Ercolano, Ischia, Procida, Naples and the Vesuvius. The structure offers the availability of completely independent unity. All the solutions are equipped of room with air conditioning, bathroom and terrace. The access to the various units, disposed on the second floor of a double family villa, is guaranteed from common entry-hall, all the premises are very spacious, extremely illuminated and endowed with every comfort. The structure, that leans out on a typical Sorrentine citrus garden, is situated few meters from the beach of Meta of Sorrento and it is well served by every public transport: the stop of the bus is alone 10 m away, while the station of the local train, the Circumvesuviana, is 50 meters away, all guarantees an easy and fast connection with Sorrento and every other zone of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Casa CosenzaCasa Cosenza, with its sunny yellow facade, sitting snug against the cliff side, halfway down to the beach is reached by descending the famous "scalinatella", one of the variety of stairways found in this unique seaside town. The front arched entranceway lined with terra-cotta pots overflowing with colourful local flora, leads to an enormous tiled terrace overlooking the pastel-colour houses of Positano and the dramatic coastline. The residence dates back 200 years, as evidenced by the typical cupola ceiling in each room, originally designed to keep rooms cool and airy. The guestrooms, each with private bath and air conditioned, enjoy the same breathtaking panorama. Rooms have bright, tiled floors and simply and sweetly decorated with old fashioned furniture. In the high side of the residence, restored recently, there are suites with all comforts (air conditioned, television, private refrigerator and hydro-massage bath). A continental breakfast is served on the main terrace. The helpful and very friendly Cosenza family assures visitors a pleasant stay. From Positano you can easily reach, to the west, Sorrento, Pompei, Ercolano (Erculaneum), Mont Vesuvio and Pozzuoli. From the east, you can visit Amalfi, Ravello, Vietri sul Mare, Salerno and Paestum. For those that like mountain excursions such as hiking, Montepertuso and Nocelle; two hamlets above Positano, are easily accessible. From Nocelle, the Sentiero degli Dei (Trail of the Gods) leads to Agerola; from Montepertuso you can reach Santa Maria al Castello and Monte Sant'Angelo a Tre Pizzi (1444 meters above sea level). |
