Aarajura

Aarajura is a beautiful Victorian guesthouse with a roof patio garden in the very centre of Edinburgh, near the King's Theatre. Aarajura has private parking and all of the city's main amenities are within easy walking distance. Each of our nine rooms - including three family rooms, accommodating up to five people - has new beds, one of them a luxurious 4 poster. Most of our rooms are en-suite and we provide hair drying and ironing facilities. All rooms have TV and tea/coffee facilities. Our rooms are beautiful, comfortable and exceptionally clean with mostly en-suite facilities, plus the best breakfast in Edinburgh. We are only 10 minutes walk to the city centre and have free parking for you. Your hosts will help you with sight seeing information/restaurants, etc. Need to be picked up from or taken to the airport or railway station? We will do that for a very reasonable charge. We can be your tour guide. Let us help you with information about Edinburgh or Scotland. We can book events, such as a golf outing or the theatre, for you. We can help you choose from the huge variety of entertainments on offer. You will always feel welcome at Aarajura!

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations giving at least 21 days notice will have deposits returned in full, with no deductions. For shorter periods of notice, we retain deposits. Within 14 working days of the first reservation date, then we will make every effort to re-let the accommodation, and therefore reduce the likely losses for the guest. If room is not re-let, then the we are entitled to claim damages, which reflect the losses incurred as a result of the cancellation. This is the value of the reservation; less any re-let value achieved and deposits already paid.

Abcorn Guest House

The Abcorn Guest House is personally run by the owners, Jimmy and Marjorie Kellacher, who assure you of a warm welcome and friendly attention throughout your stay in Edinburgh. The Guest House is a detached Victorian villa, with private car parking space for all our guests' cars and there is a frequent bus service into Edinburgh city centre, one mile away. The accommodation comprises of seven bedrooms which are spacious and bright with high ceilings, large windows and all have en suite bathroom facilities with showers. The rooms also have colour television, tea/coffee making facilities and central heating throughout. A traditional full Scottish breakfast is provided. Close to the Abcorn is the Queen's Park, Arthur's Seat and the Royal Mile with Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. Various sporting facilities, including The Commonwealth Pool and local golf courses are within walking distance, as is a large indoor shopping centre.

International Guest House

The International Guest House is an attractive stone built Victorian terrace house conveniently situated 1½ miles south of Princes Street on the main A701 and only 4 miles from the Straiton Junction on the Edinburgh City By-pass. Lying on a main bus route, access to the city is easy. The International has ample private parking. The décor is outstanding, with ornate plasterwork in the ceilings as fine as in The New Town. The International has received many accolades for its quality and level of hospitality. We are AA 4 Diamonds and Scottish Tourist Board 4 Stars. Visitors to Edinburgh who require a touch of luxury a little out of the ordinary can do no better than visit The International. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, colour television, tea/coffee makers and direct dial telephone. Guests have their own keys for the front door and their rooms. Some rooms enjoy magnificent views across to the extinct volcano of Arthur's Seat. For a real delight, your full Scottish breakfast is served on the finest bone China.

Newmills Cottage

A delightful house set in its own grounds with ample private parking and lovely gardens. The house was built by the owners in typical Scottish Farmhouse style and offers 4-star Scottish Tourist Board accommodation in peaceful surroundings. Balerno is situated 7 miles west of Edinburgh city centre on the A70. The cottage is approximately 5 miles from the Airport, 1.5 miles from Heriot Watt University, and has easy access to all major roads including the City Bypass (A720). Newmills Cottage is a member of Scotland's Best B&Bs. You are assured of the finest quality accommodation. Guests have a choice of super king or twin beds with en-suite or private facilities. The rooms are beautifully presented and all have a sitting area. Up to four people can be accommodated in a suite of two rooms (king / twin plus one twin) with private bathroom (shower over bath).
Complimentary teas and coffee, remote-control televisions, and hairdryers in each room. In the lovely breakfast room, you can start your day with fruit juice, fruit and cereals, traditional cooked Scottish Breakfast and toast with home-made preserves. Special diets can be catered for with advance information. The studio offers complete privacy, having its own entrance, and is available for self-catering with mini-kitchen (fridge, sink-unit, microwave, hob, kettle, toaster), dining area, and shower room. Ample continental breakfast supplies are provided for the length of your stay.
