English Charlie’s

English Charlie's is so named after Charlie, a character known throughout the area who, 60 years ago, lived on the site where we built this house. We built English Charlie's in 1964 as our family home. It is set back off the road, with south facing rooms which look out over a semi-wild garden with the Milton burn running through it and over fields to the hills beyond. English Charlie's offers peace and quiet so you can replenish and restore. You can set off from the house and walk all day without crossing a road, or you can just go out for a stroll for an hour or less. Guest accommodation consists of 1 twin bedded room and 2 single rooms, 2 bathrooms, a sitting room, tea and coffee making facilities and a good drying room. There is central heating throughout and all beds have electric blankets. We are located in the heart of the Spey Valley, 2½ miles southwest of Aviemore, on the road that leads to Loch-an-Eilein with its picturesque castle ruins on the island. There are many historical and interesting places to see near here. Bird watching, hiking and other activities are also prevalent. Your host also provides pottery classes.

Inverness

Deer View Bed and Breakfast

Deer View Bed and Breakfast was built in 2003 and is situated on the road that leads to Loch Killin; this is 9 miles from Fort Augustus and 3½ miles from Foyers on south Loch Ness. The B&B is surrounded by breathtaking views from all around with an abundance of wildlife to see on your doorstep, from birds in the garden and the deer on the hill to red squirrels and pine martins. There are lots of walks locally and places to visit, from the Falls of Foyers to Urquhart Castle and the banks of Loch Ness, all with its beautiful views as well as its peace and quiet. There is also a local hotel within walking distance which serves good food and fine ales. The B&B is open all year including Christmas and Hogmanay and are pet friendly. Choose from three rooms that can accommodate a family as well as four adults. All rooms have their own TV and video. There is one large bathroom with bath and shower and one small shower room, private dining / sitting room as well as a large dining room. There is also have a full size pool table as well as a dartboard in the summer house. There is also wireless Internet access available for you to use so that you can keep in contact with friends and family whilst you are on your holidays. For families with children there is also a registered childminder based next to Deer View Bed and Breakfast offering and excellent childcare service. So if you are wanting to spend some quiet quality time with your loved one with the peace of mind that your child is in a safe, fun and stimulating environment, then Little Stars Childcare Service is the place for your child to be! Please note that due to Scottish laws, smoking is not permitted inside the premises of Deer View Bed and Breakfast.

East Dene

East Dene is a traditional stone built house which has been modernised to provide comfortable accommodation. We are a family run business, centrally situated in Inverness, 8 minutes from the city centre and close to Eden Court Theatre and other local amenities. We are renowned for our Highland hospitality, friendly atmosphere and good food. The guest house is fully centrally heated and holds a full fire Certificate. There is ample off-street parking for guests. We are a Scottish Tourist Board 3 Star Guest House. In addition, we are members of the Highlands of Scotland Tourist Board and the Inverness & District Bed and Breakfast Association. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and have tea & coffee facilities, shaver point, hair dryer, alarm clock radio and colour TV. We have 3 rooms with showers en-suite and 1 room with private bathroom. We are close to Loch Ness, home of the Loch Ness Monster as well as other tourist attractions in the Highlands such historic castles and cathedrals.

St. Ann’s House

St. Ann's House is a small, quiet and friendly, family run guest house situated just 10 minutes walk from Inverness town centre. A restricted licence allows both alcoholic and soft drinks to be served to guests. There is private off street parking available for 4 vehicles. The secluded garden is a feature of St Ann's House and guests are welcome to spend time in this tranquil setting. St. Ann's House is a Scottish Tourist Board 3 Star Guest House and AA 3 Diamond Guest Accommodation. St. Ann's House has 6 bedrooms comprised of 1 single, 4 double/twin and 1 family. All bedrooms are designated non smoking. All bedrooms (except the single) have private en-suite facilities, the single having access to a separate private bathroom. Inverness is an ideal holiday base with many local attractions - such as Cawdor Castle and Culloden Battlefield. Not to be missed are cruises on Loch Ness, with every chance to spot the famously elusive monster, or dolphin watching boat trips on the Moray Firth.

Greshornish Hotel & Shellfish Farm

Set in its own mature wooded grounds on the Isle of Skye, by Loch Greshornish, is where you will find Greshornish House Hotel. Guests can view the seals on the rocks and if you have your own boat, we have moorings too. The history of the house dates back to 1215 AD. For your convenience, there is a drawing room, dining room with log fires and four poster bedrooms with private bathrooms. All bedrooms have colour television, telephone, tea & coffee facilities. Scottish fare is a specialty, served in an elegant atmosphere with crystal glasses, mahogany tables and silver candelabra. The variation in prices reflects the fact that in this old country mansion house and that all the bedrooms are different. Enjoy a leisurely game of billiards before or after dinner. Our resident Piper escorts you into dinner. Enjoy gracious living in our cocktail bar, with our wide selection of malt whiskies, fine Scottish meats, fish and shellfish. Tir Alainn Bed and Breakfast is a member of the Scottish Tourist Board, graded as four stars and will provide you with all the comforts you need in a relaxing setting. Tir Alainn is a comfortable modern bungalow set in 1 acre in an elevated position peacefully overlooking the sea affording superb views of the Red Cuillins, the islands of Pabay, Scalpay and Raasay and the mountains of Wester Ross with the added bonus of a seascape noted for its stunning sunsets. All rooms are tastefully furnished. The 2 doubles, the "Hamish" & the "Heather" have en-suite toilet & shower, shaver points, heating, tea / coffee making facilities, alarm clock, colour TV, hairdryers & electric blankets providing great comfort in a relaxing atmosphere. We even provide you with binoculars. We also have 1 single room, the "Seathrift", with a sea view and all the above but with private facilities. We serve our full & generous "Islander" breakfast to set you up for your day of exploring. A light breakfast is also available of course. Relax in the sun lounge in the evening and take an opportunity to read our collection of books on the history of Skye, and the many walks and climbs whilst enjoying the view.
