Airlies

Airlies is a great place to visit if you want to be spoiled by gracious and friendly hosts. This elegant and charming home which was built in the early 1900's provides guests with a friendly atmosphere. The home "Airlies", has been named after the farm near Wigtown in Scotland where Isabel, the Scottish bride of Dr. Charles Muller grew up. They built the house circa 1910. Both Charles and Isabel were medical doctors and practiced from this house. Both were buried on the ridge near where the British fort has been built above the tunnel in Cogmanskloof. Airlies provides an honesty bar, swimming pool with a magnificent view, outstanding hospitality, access to e-mail and fax, lounge and large veranda, TV room with satellite TV, safe parking on the premises, proximity to excellent restaurants, barbeque facilities and appetizing breakfasts. From the back yard of this house, you get a wonderful view of the Langeberg mountains in the background. The Sedgefield Arms is a luxury self-catering resort with cottages, apartments and a guest house which features non-smoking rooms. The cottages are situated in well manicured gardens and there is a fenced-in swimming pool for your enjoyment. In addition to their accommodation, there is a restaurant and pub. Sedgefield is situated in the heart of the Garden Route, nestling between pine covered hills, beautiful beaches and magnificent lakes. This picturesque town is a nature lover’s paradise offering the visitor rich and varied bird life with over 250 listed species to be viewed along many hiking trails and boat trips. The town is situated 25 km from Knysna and the closest airport is George which is 45 km away.
