Lundby Gård

Lundby Gård, with some 400 acres of forest and land gazes towards the long and thin valley around the little "Rickeby Stream". Although Lundby Gård is close to Arlanda, all one can see is nature. There is elk and deer a plenty (refusing to be photographed) and one or two foxes too many! There is a rich variety of birds, and there are a couple of cranes camping here every year, and in the pastures a number of rare plants of different kinds grow. Lundby Gård has 30 cows and calves for organic meat production. The livestock also help to keep the landscape and meadows open, and are a mixed breed, with a big portion of Hereford in them. There are at present 20 Roslags-sheep. They were, not long ago, nearly extinct and today there are not more than a couple of hundred left in the world. While staying Lundby Gård, you have the choice of staying in a room or in a self catering cottage.
