Bayview InnAfter spectacular sunsets, enjoy the special ambience of the tiki torches flickering and the palms softly rustling. Kealakekua Bay is a marine preserve, home to colorful reef fish and spinner dolphins. Nearby Honaunau Bay is famous for its green turtles, and the Place of Refuge national park. Excellent local restaurants and cafés dot the main highway, two miles upslope from Bayview Inn. Our peaceful country villa is set in tropical landscaped lawns and gardens, on a 40 acre macadamia nut orchard. We're two miles down from the main highway at Honaunau, and two miles above Kealakekua Bay, with stunning ocean and bay views. We have four spacious guest suites, each with bathroom, and twin or queen beds. The rooms are comfortably furnished with seating, ceiling fans, and sliding glass doors onto the lanai providing ocean views. |

A Beautiful Edge of the World Bed and BreakfastThe Edge of the World is a modern, comfortable and tranquil bed and breakfast with amazing views down the Kona Coast and out to the Pacific Ocean. You can view down into Kealakekua Bay where James Cook met his demise in the late 1700's and easily imagine his awe of this island and the natives' awe of him and his ship. Five acres offers the quietude one should expect in such a beautiful setting. Tropical fruit trees are there for your picking, and macadamia nut trees and coffee plants are there for my picking, but you can help if you want to. There's also a tree house in the ever-being-built stage perched in a mango tree for the young and young at heart who really want to get away. Your host, prepares an excellent breakfast: vegan, traditional, Japanese or Hawaiian. If you want to experience the real flavor of Big Island life, this is the place to go. |

Old Hawaiian Bed and BreakfastIf you have been searching for a peaceful, private location for your vacation or honeymoon that exudes the feeling of "Olde Hawaii" then you have reached your destination! Located on the Island of Hawaii, also known as The Big Island, offers both the charm of 'Olde Hawaii', and the natural beauty of a tropical paradise. This delightful property is situated on the Wailuku River above the town of Hilo, in the older, elegant part of town. Just 2 miles from downtown Hilo, and only a short 10 minute drive from Hilo International Airport, the inn provides easy access to the Hamakua coastline, and all of the island's main attractions. The Old Hawaiian B&B is a two story 'Olde Hawaiian Style' home located on ½ acre of gorgeous landscaped grounds, backing onto State owned land, and the Wailuku River. It is situated in one of the most peaceful and tropical areas of Hilo, and only two blocks from the Boiling Pots Park, which has an overlook of the river. There is ample parking for guests off street, with a private entrance to the guest quarters at the rear of the driveway. The property is located on Wailuku Drive, a very quiet street, lined with well-kept large older homes with mature landscaping. The rear of the home is where you will find the covered lanai where guests enjoy their morning breakfast to the sounds of a variety of birds singing. There is lush tropical landscaping throughout the entire property. You will find such plants as the colorful Heliconia growing in the garden. Many tropical fruit abound: papaya, mango, banana, lemon, orange, tangerine, and pineapple. Much of the breakfast fruit served to the guests grows in the gardens! At the back of the garden you will find a garden with extensive colorful flowers growing on property next door. At the back of the property there is also the pathway to the cliff above the Wailuku River. The beach is just a 10 minute drive, where you can sunbathe, swim, snorkel, or for the more adventuresome, there is surfing or scuba diving. Walk to the many ancient Hawaiian fish ponds, or hike along the coast and watch the whales, dolphins, and turtles at play! Charm, 'Olde Hawaiian' hospitality and comfort, in a relaxed atmosphere, is the essence of The Old Hawaiian B&B. |
