Bayview Inn

After spectacular sunsets, enjoy the special ambience of the tiki torches flickering and the palms softly rustling. Kealakekua Bay is a marine preserve, home to colorful reef fish and spinner dolphins. Nearby Honaunau Bay is famous for its green turtles, and the Place of Refuge national park. Excellent local restaurants and cafés dot the main highway, two miles upslope from Bayview Inn. Our peaceful country villa is set in tropical landscaped lawns and gardens, on a 40 acre macadamia nut orchard. We're two miles down from the main highway at Honaunau, and two miles above Kealakekua Bay, with stunning ocean and bay views. We have four spacious guest suites, each with bathroom, and twin or queen beds. The rooms are comfortably furnished with seating, ceiling fans, and sliding glass doors onto the lanai providing ocean views.

A Beautiful Edge of the World Bed and Breakfast

The Edge of the World is a modern, comfortable and tranquil bed and breakfast with amazing views down the Kona Coast and out to the Pacific Ocean. You can view down into Kealakekua Bay where James Cook met his demise in the late 1700's and easily imagine his awe of this island and the natives' awe of him and his ship. Five acres offers the quietude one should expect in such a beautiful setting. Tropical fruit trees are there for your picking, and macadamia nut trees and coffee plants are there for my picking, but you can help if you want to. There's also a tree house in the ever-being-built stage perched in a mango tree for the young and young at heart who really want to get away. Your host, prepares an excellent breakfast: vegan, traditional, Japanese or Hawaiian. If you want to experience the real flavor of Big Island life, this is the place to go.

Island Goode's

Island Goode’s is located on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. If you like tropical rain forests, green plants and colorful flowers, then you are in the heart of it all. As you enter the 8 acre estate you will see the large grove of apple bananas, white pineapple, mangos, and a variety of tropical fruit trees. Through the lava rock walled driveway entrance you will find a single story plantation style house, built in 2003. There are no stairs to climb for easy access. There are three spacious rooms to choose from; each with its own entrance from the outside. Each room has a full bath with tub/shower, 9 foot ceilings with ceiling fans, King size bed, television/VCR/DVD, couch, refrigerator, table and chairs, and are decorated with the feel of Hawaii. The airport is approximately 10 miles away. Old Hilo Town is just 6 miles away, where you can enjoy quaint shops, a movie theater, restaurants, and the Farmer’s Market which runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Old Hawaiian Bed and Breakfast
