Braeside

Braeside, a modified Cape Cod riverfront home is situated on a hillside of the Racquette River. Nestled in the northwest foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, a friendly, inviting atmosphere of graciousness and hospitality pervade at Braeside (Scottish for hillside). Deer, beaver, mink, and river otter are among the wildlife you may see as you relax, fish or canoe. A rowboat and canoe are available to our guests. Hummingbirds are plentiful from May to September and can be seen flitting from one flower to another or at the feeder visible from the breakfast table. Perhaps you will see an eagle soar by or an heron looking for a meal. A full service breakfast is available from Tuesday through Saturday. Sunday guests have the choice of hot buffet or late full breakfast. Amenities for all guests include portable phone, door key, use of iron & ironing board, hair dryer, email & internet access, fax, copier and air conditioning.

Your choice of full country breakfasts, including homemade bread, is served between 7:30 and 9 am. Watch the birds from the breakfast table or as you stroll the grounds or wooded trails. Explore early American history at forts, battlefields and museums. Spend an hour or a day cruising magnificent Lake George. Check out the shops in Warrensburgh, an historic mill town on the Schroon River. We provide four rooms, two with private baths. There is no TV and we have been serving many happy returns since 1974. So if you're looking for a Lake George bed and breakfast where you can do it all and not be disturbed by the crowds - you finally found it.
